The National Human Rights Museum (NHRM) was set up on October 19th 2011 and officially started operation on December 10 the same year under the administration of the Council of Cultural Affairs, which has now become the Ministry of Culture of Taiwan. The Museum has two divisions: Jing-Mei White Terror Memorial Park as well as Green Island White Terror Memorial Park. Both parks are the most important historical sites of White Terror.
